Phoebe Floral Shop in involved with the a great program called "Flowers for Kids."  It is an educational program that is designed to teach schoolchildren about how to grow, take care of, and enjoy flowers.  The classes encompass a little bit of biology, chemistry and artistry. 

Each interactive class lasts forty-five minutes and can accommodate twenty to fifty students.  We are able to give up to three classes during our visit to your school.  We are also able to give a class to any parents and teachers interested in this program.  It takes about an hour to set up each class.

By the end of the class all students involved will know 

• Where and how flowers are grown
• The names of many common flowers
• How to care for flowers
• How to make home made flower food
• The "Five Second Rule" with flowers
• What components go into making an arrangement
• How to design your own arrangement (which students can take home)
